ScanSnap Home Does Not Start or Cannot Be Used

If ScanSnap Home does not start or cannot be used, check the following:

Is nothing displayed on the computer even though you started ScanSnap Home, or is a message displayed, indicating that ScanSnap Home stopped operating?

Exit other applications and then restart ScanSnap Home.

If the problem still persists, uninstall ScanSnap Home and then install the latest version of ScanSnap Home.

Download ScanSnap Home from here, and then install it.

Is a message displayed, indicating that the files required to run the program do not exist?

The files required to run ScanSnap Home may not exist.

Uninstall ScanSnap Home and then install the latest version of ScanSnap Home.

Download ScanSnap Home from here, and then install it.

Is a message displayed, indicating that an unexpected error occurred?

The latest updates may not be applied correctly to ScanSnap Home.

Uninstall ScanSnap Home and then install the latest version of ScanSnap Home.

Download ScanSnap Home from here, and then install it.

Is a message displayed, indicating insufficient system memory?

There is not enough memory to operate ScanSnap Home.

Exit unnecessary applications and start ScanSnap Home again.

Is the displayed ScanSnap Home window disabled?

If a network folder that is located far down in the folder hierarchy is used as the ScanSnap Home folder or a folder which is assigned as a folder to be managed in ScanSnap Home, it may take long to expand the folder hierarchy. Wait for a while and start ScanSnap Home again.

Did you install ScanSnap Organizer or CardMinder on your computer?

If ScanSnap Organizer or CardMinder is installed on your computer, ScanSnap cannot be started up.

To use ScanSnap Home, uninstall ScanSnap Organizer, CardMinder, or both (if both of them are installed).
